Wrinkle Relaxation

Dermal Fillers

The ultimate option in prevention of further ageing. These small injections relax your muscles so new wrinkles are unable to be formed. Treatments aim to help boost your confidence and feel refreshed; prevent new lines forming and if used over a longer period of time can help to reduce deeper lines which have formed.

By using them in combination with other treatments like our medi-facials, prescription facials and skin volumisers you can look as youthful as you wish.

Treatment takes 1-3 days to see effects then will get the full results in 7-14 days so I often would like to see you for a review after 1-2 weeks. This treatment will last 3-6 months depending on your personal metabolism, over repeated treatments it can last longer or some people can build up a tolerance to it with too frequent use.

Injectable treatments for more immediate results, to revolumise areas which have lost volume due to aging and increase plumpness in other areas for a softer appearance. We can use these in conjunction with other treatments to get the results you want.

Suitable for lip lines, lines around the nose, boost lip shape and volume; soften under eye volume loss. Post-treatment you can experience bruising and swelling of the area so this is not suitable immediately before events. Please consider some of our medi-facials if you are looking for that little extra glow.

Added volume can last for 3-6 months and depending on your personal metabolism, in some cases it lasts a lot longer.

Combination Treatments

My aim is to get natural looking results which boost your confidence and leave you feeling refreshed. Appointments will last no longer than 30 mins. Effects begin to wear off after 3-6 months but may last longer so I often recommend to book a review around this time. Many patients have wrinkle relaxing treatments and dermal fillers in combination, although if it is your first time I suggest we do these separately to begin with.

Injections can cause swelling, bruising and tenderness which should settle over a few days. I recommend no make up for 48 hours, after the first couple days you can use arnica cream to help with bruising if you wish.

Contraindications - I do not treat under 21 year olds, breastfeeding or pregnant women, allergies to ingredients used or bee stings (for fillers).

Masseter Botox Treatment: A Guide for Patients

What is Masseter Botox?

Masseter Botox is a minimally invasive treatment that uses Botox injections to relax the masseter muscle, which is located in the jaw. This muscle is responsible for chewing and clenching, and when it's overactive, it can lead to a squared jawline, headaches, and even teeth grinding.

What are the Benefits?

  • Softer jawline: By relaxing the masseter muscle, Botox can create a more defined and sculpted jawline.

  • Reduced jaw clenching: Botox can help alleviate tension headaches and jaw pain caused by clenching or bruxism.

  • Improved facial symmetry: For some patients, Botox can help to balance facial features and create a more harmonious appearance.

  • Reduced teeth wear: By reducing clenching, Botox can help protect teeth from wear and tear.

  • Non-surgical alternative: Botox is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment option for addressing masseter muscle issues.

How Does It Work?

Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily blocks nerve signals, preventing the masseter muscle from contracting. This leads to a noticeable softening of the jawline and reduced clenching.

What to Expect During the Treatment:

  • The treatment involves a series of small injections directly into the masseter muscle.

  • You may experience mild discomfort during the injections, but most patients tolerate it well.

  • The entire procedure takes about 15-20 minutes.

Recovery and Results:

  • You can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.

  • Results typically appear within 2-3 weeks and last for 3-4 months.

  • You can have touch-up injections as needed to maintain the results.

Risks and Side Effects:

  • Like any medical procedure, Botox injections have some potential risks and side effects. These can include temporary bruising, swelling, and pain at the injection site.

  • In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, such as drooping of the face or difficulty swallowing.

  • It is essential to choose a qualified and experienced healthcare provider to minimize these risks.

Who is a Good Candidate?

  • Patients with a squared jawline due to overactive masseter muscles

  • Patients experiencing jaw pain or headaches related to clenching

  • Patients seeking a non-surgical alternative to jawline contouring

Before the Treatment:

  • It's important to discuss your medical history and any medications you are taking with your healthcare provider.

  • Avoid taking certain medications, such as blood thinners, before the procedure.

  • Let your provider know if you have any allergies or concerns.

Consultation:

A consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential to determine if Masseter Botox is right for you. During the consultation, your provider will assess your needs, discuss your expectations, and answer any questions you may have.
